United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has today launched the Innovations to Empower Women and Girls Challenge to identify and scale up innovative solutions that help disrupt inequalities and advance the empowerment of women and girls in all their diversity.

The Challenge aims to support social enterprises registered in UNFPA programme countries to pivot from grant-making models to self-sustaining financial models. Ten awardees will sign a nine-month contract and will receive up to US$ 60,000, mentorship, and coaching support to help develop and implement business models and intellectual property management to position their innovations to scale. The awardees will be working closely with UNFPA country offices.

To learn more about the Challenge, its scope, eligibility criteria, evaluation criteria, timeline, steps to apply, and more,  visit the UNFPA website.

Please, spread the word and encourage the best innovators around you to submit their Expression of Interest here!
